Owning a timepiece from one of the truly great producers is surely one of life’s special treats. Swiss manufacturer Zenith was founded in 1865 and has been crafting a wide range of intriguing, and oftentimes award-winning, timepieces ever since.

This Chronomaster by Zenith lives up to its name in every regard. Masterfully constructed, it is a powered by famed El Primero movement that you can depend upon.

The black partially skeletonized dial reveals some of the watch’s inner workings, including escapement silicon wheel. El Primero 3604 1/10th of a second caliber, a self-winding automatic movement that beats at 36,000 vph, and delivers a 60-hour power reserve.

Chronograph functions for this watch include a central red 1/10th of a second hand that is easy to spot and used in conjunction with the rehaut printed with a 1/10th of a second track. In addition, there is a 60-second counter at 3 and a 60-minute counter at 6. There is a running small seconds subdial at 9. Each counter is a different color to create a dynamic visual environment.

The partially brushed and polished stainless steel case measures 39.5 mm in diameter, 13 mm in height, and rests upon a stainless steel bracelet fitted with a steel triple-folding buckle. Additional features include a push / pull winding crown, scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal, and 100 m / 10 atm water resistance.
