Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf launched the Tudor Watch Company in 1946 in an effort to offer the public reliable timepieces at affordable prices. Since 2015, Tudor has been manufacturing in-house movements to much acclaim.

This Tudor Heritage Black Bay timepiece is pre-owned in excellent condition, and comes complete with its original manuals, papers, and boxes. It is driven by Tudor’s own MT5602 caliber, which is a self-winding mechanical automatic movement that beats at 28,800 vph and delivers a convenient 70-hour power reserve. “Midnight Blue,” as this watch is nicknamed, is a reliable timepiece, to be sure, and it is a COSC-certified chronometer.

The cool and confident stainless steel case measures a modest 41 mm in diameter and rests upon a stainless steel folding bracelet with a folding buckle that has a safety clasp. The unidirectionally rotating matt blue bezel displays a dive scale and handy luminescent dot.

With an impressive 200 m / 20 atm water resistance, this just may be your new favorite dive watch. The prominent, screwed-down stainless steel winding crown is a nod to the 7924 model from 1958 and is black-lacquered and engraved with the Tudor rose.

Beneath the scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal one encounters a no-nonsense black-colored dial with angular and luminescent “snowflake” hands that recall Tudor watches enjoyed by the French National Navy throughout the 1970s. In addition, there are luminous dots and indices, a minute track in white, and a luminous sweep seconds hand.
