Swiss manufacturer Breitling was founded in the Swiss Jura in 1884 by Léon Breitling, a man dedicated to crafting precision chronographs and timers. The navigation timer, or, more efficiently, the Navitimer by Breitling gives you something special: Its bi-directional rotating bezel features a circular slide rule, which is sometimes called a “navigation computer,” and allows you to read minutes, seconds, and fractions of a second.

With the multifunctional slide rule it is possible to make an impressive amount of airborne calculations such as fuel consumption, climbing times, and the conversion of miles into nautical miles or kilometers.

The deeply black-colored dial sports slightly recessed silver patterned subdials, luminous index hour markers, and finely printed minutes, seconds, and fractions of a second. There is a date window nestled between 4 and 5.

As a self-winding automatic timepiece, the Breitling 01 caliber beats at 28,800 vph, possesses 47 jewels, delivers a convenient 70-hour power reserve, and can be viewed in all its glory via the exhibition case back.

You will find a small seconds counter at 9 and chronograph functions give you a 30-minute counter at 3, a 12-hour counter at 6, and a red center seconds hand that can read up to 1/4th of a second.

The stainless steel case measures 46 mm in diameter, 14.51 mm in height, and rests upon a stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp with a safety release. Additional features include a push / pull winding crown, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and a 30 m / 3 atm water resistance.
