In 1902, watchmakers Paul Arthur Schwarz and Olga Etienne-Schwarz released the first Venus timepieces in the Swiss village La Chaux-de-Fonds. Thirty years later Venus was highly celebrated for crafting impeccable column wheel chronograph calibers, several of which are still to this day in use by top watch brands. In the 1950/60s Venus took home a design award at the Basel fair and benefited from actress Jane Mansfield and Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev being fans of the brand. Venus was relaunched in 2011 from its home base in Geneva, Switzerland, and continues to boast fantastic movements as well as a refined and simplified elegance in design.
